What To Expect At Hallowed Peak

Tourists! The Lunar Festival isn’t far away, with Phantom Peak welcoming tourists from 27th September for the spookiest time of year: Hallowed Peak. We wanted to let you know what to expect, ready for your visit to town very soon.
THE TONE OF YOUR VISIT
Halloween as you call it beyond the ridge is still quite a while away. Yes, your stores might have developed some spider webs overnight and pumpkins have popped up, but there’s still some time to go.
Just like beyond the ridge, you may see some spooky things around town. However, it’s more of an Autumn season than a scary Halloween one. Yes, the week of Halloween may have some later nights, but this season is designed to be enjoyable regardless of the day and weather. And if scare isn’t your thing, that’s perfect - our townsfolk describe it as more of a spooky time than scary.
RECENT HISTORY
Whether it’s your first time at the peak, or your hundredth, it’s always good to know the recent history of the town. Here’s your recent history roundup:
In Spring, we celebrated the Festival of Innovation - where townsfolk were invited to invent fabulous new machines to entertain, or help the town in new ways. At the end of each tourists’ visit, they voted for their favourite townsfolk. The winner’s prize? To become the first ever Jona-naut and take a trip to space! Wow, so exciting! We saw some great new inventions including the Phrenograph from Spectre. The Phrenograph is described as being “for ghosts and stuff. checking ghosts, deleting ghouls, hunting the supernatural” and solving the problem of “spooky stuff”.
Did that rocket ever take off? Who knows! Summer sees us celebrate our Starlit Summer, and the first tourist-wide competition: The Cabin Games. On entry to town, each tourist was assigned a team to represent. Throughout their visit, they gain tokens for their cabin. The cabin with the most tokens at the Closing Ceremony wins! The prize? Well, a representative of the cabin gets to send the first unmanned rocket up to space!

What else is going on? Well you know Jonas’ portly horse Chonky Chunk? That’s a sad story that we can barely cope with retelling.
Perigate’s parents were back in town - near, far, wherever they are - and Hogwood insists something’s going on with that Axiomatic clock again, it’ll take them an eternity to work it out.
WHAT ARE SEASONS?
Alright, we realise we keep saying the word season. For those new tourists, let’s explain.
Roughly every 3 months, time moves on in the town of Phantom Peak. We take a quick break from welcoming tourists while the town undergoes a transformation and, usually, begins celebrating something new. These seasons generally follow the same seasons you’re familiar with beyond the ridge: Spring, Summer, Autumn, Winter.
ABOUT THE LUNAR FESTIVAL
This is an important and eerie time of year for the residents of Phantom Peak. It’s the time of year when the moon is closest to the Ridge, and diamant begins to react in strange and unpredictable ways. Spirits rise from the grave, creatures lurk in the shadows, and the Church of the Cosmic Platypus raves in style!
“IT IS TRADITION” says Pius, as he insists on telling us there will be a proper rave at the end of each visit to town. That’s one thing you don’t want to miss.
For those unaware, Diamant is the mineral that has been mined in Phantom Peak (previously called Phantom Deeps) for the longest of times. Miramine is the old mining company, which profited from mining this mysterious quartz, and was setup & run by the Datchery family.
COLLECTIBLE TRAIL CARDS
There are ten trails to complete for this season, and each one completed awards you with a unique collectible trail card. There are also some new opportunities for new cards for your collection, including The Lunar Remedy (see below) or our Afternoon Tea experience, both awarding brand new trail card designs for this season.
NEW COCKTAILS AND MENU
We have a series of new cocktails and mocktails available, with a new seasonal menu available at counters across the peak. Did you know? The Thirsty Frontier Saloon is run by a townsfolk called Copper. They’ve been remarkably absent for a while, after leaving town for an unknown reason. Maybe this season we’ll see them again!
THE LUNAR REMEDY - A JONACOCKTAIL EXPERIENCE
This is an add-on experience (£20 per person) and results in a unique make-it-yourself signature cocktail designed by the Thirsty Frontier Saloon. You’ll discover that strange dreams and afflictions are spreading among the Townsfolk of Phantom Peak. Before time runs out, you must find the remedy to avoid meeting the same fate. This takes place alongside your visit to town, where you explore the entire town and interact with characters in this self-guided cocktail experience.
THE HAUNTED HUNT
The Haunted Hunt is an add-on experience (£5 per person) which takes place alongside your visit to town. You will be tasked with completing a series of puzzles across town against a time limit - the team with the most points wins! This is a new experience based on the successful Innovation Games and Summer Puzzle Hunt (or Summer Olympics).
OUR VIP UPGRADE
New for this season, we are introducing a VIP Upgrade pack for those visiting the peak. This is £25 per person and offers a 35% saving. The pack includes:
- A free beer or wine on arrival

The season will end on 10th November, so there is plenty of time to visit once, twice, maybe three times to experience everything!
