JONACO PRESENTS: JONACON AT PHANTOM PEAK!

JONACO has officially brought JonaCon to Phantom Peak! After some serious vetting, Phantom Peak was chosen as the hosting town this year, and JONACO have prepared one hell of an event!

Some very special celebrities have been invited, and guests of the con are encouraged to cosplay to their hearts content. We are so pleased that Jonas, in his infinite wisdom, graciously chose our town as the host for the convention this year, though we can't say we are surprised. Phantom Peak is a perfect place full of perfect people, after all!

Tourists who visit during JonaCon will be able to participate in the one-of-a-kind Jonalympics! Split into three teams that all mysteriously start with an M (Metaphysics, Mechanics and Mining), teams must compete in games such as 'Build-A-Blimp', 'Mineshaft Mayhem' and 'Multi-Dimensional Relay' for tokens that will be counted at the end of the event. The winning team? Well, they may just receive a special prize.

The JONACON festival has brought plenty of exciting celebrities and events to town. But one event has taken the entire Ridge by storm - The Phantom Peak Cake Off! However, it's not all as positive as it seems. Hogwood, the owner of the Picture House and one of the contestants for the show, was asked to comment on what is going on.

"The competition was going well at first, but I started to notice that some of the contestants were starting to disappear... And it was always the winners of the week! I'm the winner this week and I'm terrified I might be next!" - Hogwood

An investigation has been put forward for anyone who would like to volunteer, as JONACO are far too busy with the organisation of JonaCon and the Jonalympics.

Some townsfolk, namely Halloway, have been reporting an influx of bodies lately, with little to not explanation as to why. It has gotten to the point where they have had to extend an invite for some volunteers to assist in grave digging (The very legal kind). After some investigation and asking around, we have come across something called 'The Kraken Games.'

Judging by the amount of bodies that have been piling up, these 'games' sound rather dangerous! We have asked around to see if anyone is aware of who it is that hosts these games and how one can even find out more about them, but no one seems to have a solid answer.

The famous Phantom Peak Platypuses are going head to head with the Revenant Canyon Racoons for the championship this year. It will surely be a match to remember, with the Phantom Peak Platypuses defending their  several victories from past seasons.

With the excitement of the season comes the opportunity for townsfolk and tourists alike to become 'Volunteer Milk Bois'. This is a great chance to be involved in an elite sporting organisation and would also help out Rexford, who is heading the charge for getting new teammates.

"A lot of my team have died out in a sporting accident, so we're in need of some volunteers. If you could come to the tryouts, that would be great!" - Rexford

We at The Phantom Tribune would like to announce that The Tourist Outreach Programme has a new representative in town, Jaspin!

Tourists will often see Jaspin wandering around at Phantom Peak, helping where they can, more often interviewing the townsfolk or tourists alike. They can probably be seen holding their Jelfie Stick, taking photos and videos to share with all of the tourists over the ridge.

"Hi everyone! I'm super excited to meet all of you and help out! You'll find me armed with my microphone wandering about town and answering tourists questions. Please don't ask me stupid ones though...ahaha kidding!" - Jaspin

A huge welcome to Jaspin! We're sure that they will be appearing in our glorious newspaper in the future!
